About this skill

The composer skill from adithya-s-k's manim_skill. It asks about the audience, scope and focus, then writes a scenes.md ready for ManimCE or ManimGL. Explainers are one of the formats people on X are most keen to automate.

You say

Plan a 60-second explainer of how compound interest works, in the style of 3Blue1Brown.

How it works

  1. Your agent asks what the viewer should understand by the end, and who that viewer is.
  2. It shapes a narrative arc, then writes a scenes file: each scene's visuals, transitions, palette and math.
  3. It sets an implementation order, ready for you or an agent to build in Manim.

Getting a good result

  • Bring one concept. A single idea explained well makes a better explainer than a tour of a whole subject.
  • Install Manim separately to render. This skill produces the plan, not the video.
  • Ask for the moment of insight first, then let the plan build up to it.

What you get

  • The manim-composer skill at a pinned commit
  • Its narrative patterns, scene examples and template
  • The MIT license and attribution

Good fit

  • Math and science explainers
  • Technical product concepts

Not for

  • Writing the Manim code on its own
  • Fast social edits

How to install it

  1. Download the ZIP and unzip it.
  2. Move the folder holding SKILL.md into your agent's skills folder, such as ~/.claude/skills/ for Claude Code.
  3. Start a new session and ask for what you want to make.

Needs: An agent that reads skills, Manim, to render the plan.
