About this skill

Topview T1 launched on 21 October 2026 at $0.22 a second of 1080p video, against $0.585 for Seedance 2.5 at its official API price. In same-prompt side-by-sides the two look close on faces, light and dialogue, and Seedance 2.5 keeps fast action crisper. In AdAnt a second of T1 uses 60% fewer credits than a second of Seedance 2.5 at 1080p. This skill turns that into a routine: your agent plans the shots, estimates what each costs on both models, drafts every shot on T1 through AdAnt, and sends only the shots that fail to Seedance 2.5. Without AdAnt it can use Topview's own MCP server instead.

You say

Plan a 30-second rainy-night scene for my short drama. Estimate the cost on T1 and on Seedance 2.5, render it on T1, and tell me which shots to redo on Seedance.

How it works

  1. Your agent splits the brief into shots and marks each one T1 or Seedance 2.5, with the reason.
  2. cost.mjs prices every shot on both models, and the AdAnt credits the plan saves, before anything renders.
  3. It checks that T1 is on your AdAnt account, then drafts every shot on T1 through AdAnt.
  4. You review the drafts, and only the shots that fail are re-rendered on Seedance 2.5 with the same prompt.

Getting a good result

  • Start dialogue, slow camera moves, hair and cloth on T1. Send fast fights, dance and impacts to Seedance 2.5 if the draft smears.
  • Budget takes, not seconds. A shot that needs four tries costs four times its length.
  • Keep the same prompt and start frame when you escalate a shot, so you are comparing models and not prompts.

What you get

  • A shot plan that marks each shot T1 or Seedance 2.5, with the reason
  • cost.mjs: a per-shot estimate for both models, in dollars, Topview credits and the AdAnt credit saving
  • Prompt templates for anime, zombie, short drama, music video, fight, meme and trailer shots
  • A draft-then-escalate loop, so a retake on the dearer model is the exception

Good fit

  • Creators making many clips a week on a budget
  • Short dramas, music videos and anime shorts with lots of shots
  • Testing many versions of one idea before you pay for a final

Not for

  • Shots that need reference images or video: T1 takes only a start frame and an optional end frame
  • Shots of real people without their consent
  • A guarantee that T1 matches Seedance 2.5 on every shot

How to install it

  1. Download the ZIP and unzip it.
  2. Move the topview-t1-video folder into your agent's skills folder, such as ~/.claude/skills/, and connect AdAnt's MCP server if you haven't.
  3. Start a new session and ask for what you want to make.

Needs: An agent that reads skills, the AdAnt MCP connection, or Topview's MCP server, Node.js 18 or later, for the cost script.

FAQ

Is it really free?

Yes. Create a free AdAnt account to download the ZIP. Renders use credits on the account that makes them: AdAnt, or Topview if you use its MCP server.

Is Topview T1 as good as Seedance 2.5?

Close on most shots, not all. In the launch-week side-by-sides faces, lighting and lip-sync look comparable, and Seedance 2.5 keeps fast choreography and impacts crisper. The skill drafts on T1 and moves only the shots that fail.

How much cheaper is it?

In AdAnt, T1 uses 60% fewer credits per second than Seedance 2.5 at 1080p and 54% fewer at 720p. On topview.ai, T1 launched 62% below Seedance 2.5's official API price at 1080p: $6.60 against $17.55 for a 30-second clip. The cost script shows each.

Can AdAnt render with T1?

Yes. AdAnt lists T1 as topview-t1 for text to video and topview-t1-i2v for a start frame and an optional end frame, from 4 to 30 seconds at 720p or 1080p. Your agent renders text-to-video shots over MCP and start-frame shots with the AdAnt CLI. The skill checks that the model is on your account before it renders.
