Topview T1 and Seedance 2.5 answer the same brief, a short cinematic clip with sound from a prompt and reference images, at very different prices. This page puts the launch-week side-by-sides next to the price sheets so you can decide shot by shot, not model by model.

What is Topview T1?

Topview T1 is the in-house video model of Topview, an AI video and ads platform, launched on October 21, 2026. Topview's launch announcement says it was "built to rival Seedance 2.5 1080P quality at 62% lower cost", and its homepage card puts it as "Seedance 2.5 quality at 38% of the official price."

The launch film captions seven features, among them 30s native generation, up to 50 multimodal inputs (images, video and audio references in one request), regional inpainting, multilingual support and motion reference. You run T1 on topview.ai, from an agent through Topview's MCP server and API, or in AdAnt.

Seedance 2.5 is ByteDance's video model. It generates up to 30 seconds with audio from a prompt and reference images, and it is one of the two models AdAnt's Creator renders with by default; it is the one we pick past 15 seconds.

How much cheaper is Topview T1 than Seedance 2.5?

At 1080p, T1 costs $0.22 a second and Seedance 2.5's official API price is $0.585 a second, the two figures printed on eight of the ten launch-week clips ("$6.6/30s" against "$17.55/30s"). That is 2.66x more footage for the same budget.

Finished length at 1080pTopview T1Seedance 2.5 (official API)You save
10 seconds$2.20$5.85$3.65
30 seconds$6.60$17.55$10.95
60 seconds$13.20$35.10$21.90
5 minutes$66.00$175.50$109.50

Two caveats keep the table honest. First, the 62% compares T1 with Seedance's official API price. On Topview's own credit table T1 1080p is 8.8 credits per 4 seconds and Seedance 2.5 1080p is 14.8, so inside Topview T1 uses 41% fewer credits; at 720p it is 4 against 6 credits, 33% fewer. Topview's developer API is priced differently again: it lists T1 at $0.1649 a second at 720p, 28.66% off Seedance's official price. BytePlus's own ModelArk price list comes out slightly lower than the campaign's $0.585: its 5-second 1080p example is $2.843, or $0.569 a second, which still leaves T1 about 61% cheaper. The Seedance 2.5 price guide works through those token prices. Second, the saving is a ceiling: it assumes every shot goes to T1. If a third of your shots need Seedance 2.5, you save less.

Does Topview T1 look as good as Seedance 2.5?

In same-prompt side-by-sides, the two are close enough that most viewers could not pick the cheaper one in a feed. The clips below were shared by creators during Topview's launch campaign; several of them are marked as paid promotion, so judge the footage, not the captions.

What we see across the ten launch-week clips:

  • Faces, lighting and dialogue are close. The laundromat scene, a late-night talk show and a K-pop performance hold skin, wet light and lip-sync about equally well on both.
  • Seedance 2.5 keeps fast action crisper. In the dojo fight and the zombie street chase, impacts and limbs stay sharper on Seedance 2.5. An anime creator testing video-to-video previs found T1's shapes turn slightly soft and rounded in fast motion.
  • T1 holds hair and cloth well. The same anime creator found swaying hair and cloth more convincing on T1 than on Seedance 2.5, and judged T1 usable as a main model at its price.
  • Sound is comparable. A same-reference, same-prompt 30-second anime test found the voices and effects close as well as the pictures.

None of this is a benchmark: it is a few dozen shots, chosen by the people promoting the launch and shared at social-video resolution, so the clips show motion and staging better than fine 1080p detail.

When should you use T1, and when Seedance 2.5?

Route by shot, not by project. Most videos are a mix of easy shots, where the cheaper model is indistinguishable, and a few hard ones, where a retake on the cheaper model costs more than one render on the better one.

A practical loop: draft every shot on T1, keep the ones that work, and re-render only the failures on Seedance 2.5 with the same prompt and references.

What does each genre cost on Topview T1?

How do you try Topview T1 from your coding agent?

Connect an MCP server that runs T1, then ask your agent for a T1 render. Two do: Topview's own, billed to a Topview account, and AdAnt's, which lists T1 beside Seedance 2.5 so one agent can draft on the first and re-render on the second. AdAnt's free Topview T1 skill adds genre prompt templates, a per-shot cost estimate for T1 against Seedance 2.5, and a rule for when to re-render a shot on the more expensive model.

AdAnt, an AI social media marketing team, runs T1 as well: choose Topview T1 in Studio's video picker or ask the Creator for it by name. There T1 uses 60% fewer credits per second than Seedance 2.5 at 1080p, and 54% fewer at 720p. AdAnt's T1 starts from a prompt or a start frame rather than reference images, so a shot that needs a reference pack still belongs on topview.ai or on Seedance 2.5.

Frequently asked questions

How much does Topview T1 cost?

Topview's launch campaign prices T1 at $0.22 per second of 1080p video, so a 30-second clip costs $6.60. Inside Topview's own credits, T1 is 8.8 credits per 4 seconds at 1080p and 4 credits per 4 seconds at 720p.

Is Topview T1 really 62% cheaper than Seedance 2.5?

Against the $0.585 a second at 1080p that Topview's launch campaign quotes as Seedance 2.5's official API price, yes. BytePlus's own price list works out to about $0.569 a second at 1080p, which makes T1 about 61% cheaper. Against the Seedance 2.5 rate on Topview's own credit table (14.8 credits per 4 seconds), T1 uses 41% fewer credits. And if you still send your hardest shots to Seedance 2.5, your real saving is lower.

Is Topview T1 the same quality as Seedance 2.5?

Close, not identical. In the launch-week side-by-sides, faces, lighting, lip-sync and hair or cloth motion look comparable. Seedance 2.5 tends to keep fast choreography and impacts crisper, and one anime creator saw shapes go slightly soft in fast motion on T1.

Can I use Topview T1 in AdAnt?

Yes. Pick Topview T1 in Studio's video picker, ask the Creator for it by name, or call it from your coding agent through AdAnt's MCP server. In AdAnt, T1 uses 60% fewer credits per second than Seedance 2.5 at 1080p, and 54% fewer at 720p.

Does the unlimited T1 offer cover 1080p?

No. Topview's pricing page lists 30 days of unlimited Topview T1 at 720P for Ultra annual subscribers, and warns that unlimited wait times may be lengthy. 1080p renders use credits.
