Seedance 2.5 Price:
What It Costs per Second and per Clip

In short

Seedance 2.5 costs about $0.569 per second of 1080p video and $0.231 at 720p on BytePlus ModelArk's official API, so a 30-second 1080p clip is about $17. Topview T1 is the cheapest close substitute: $0.22 a second at 1080p on topview.ai, about 61% less, and comparable on faces and dialogue in same-prompt tests. The caveat: Seedance 2.5 keeps fast action crisper.

Seedance 2.5 isn't sold by the second. Its official API bills by token, and the token count depends on resolution, length and frame rate, which is why the per-second prices quoted around the web disagree. This page works the price out from the official pricing pages, prices typical clips and projects, and lists the cheaper routes. For the side-by-side quality comparison, read Topview T1 vs Seedance 2.5.

How much does Seedance 2.5 cost per second?

On BytePlus ModelArk, Seedance 2.5 costs about $0.569 a second at 1080p, $0.231 at 720p and $0.103 at 480p, for a 16:9 video made without video input. Those are BytePlus's own worked examples for a 5-second clip, on its pricing page as checked on November 3, 2026. Underneath, ModelArk bills tokens: $10.70 per million at 480p and 720p, and $11.7 per million at 1080p. A video's tokens are its duration times width times height times frame rate, divided by 1,024, so the price rises in step with length and pixel count.

Seedance 2.5 on BytePlus ModelArkPrice per million tokens5-second 16:9 examplePer second
480p$10.70$0.514$0.103
720p$10.70$1.156$0.231
1080p$11.7$2.843$0.569

Three rules change the bill:

  • Video input costs more. With a reference video the token rate drops to $6.40 per million at 480p and 720p and $7.0 at 1080p, but the input video's seconds are added to the count. BytePlus prices a 5-second 1080p clip with video input at $3.062 to $11.907, depending on how long the input is.
  • Failures are free. BytePlus charges only for videos that generate successfully; one blocked by content moderation costs nothing. A take you dislike is still charged.
  • No 4K. Seedance 2.5 renders 480p, 720p and 1080p only.

In mainland China the same model is sold through Volcengine's Ark as doubao-seedance-2.5, at ¥77 per million tokens at 1080p without video input; Volcengine's worked example is ¥18.71 for 5 seconds of 1080p.

Why do sites quote different Seedance 2.5 prices?

Because the official price is per token, every per-second figure is a conversion, and resellers and apps set their own prices on top. Topview's T1 launch material labels $0.585 a second at 1080p as Seedance 2.5's official API price, or $17.55 for 30 seconds. BytePlus's own example works out to $0.569, about 3% less. Neither changes any decision on this page.

Apps quote further figures again. CapCut's Dreamina app sells Seedance 2.5 inside subscription credits, and its price guide's lowest per-second rates are first-month offers at 720p, so compare the renewal price before you plan a budget on them. When you compare any two quotes, check the resolution, whether video input is included, and whether the price is per generated second or per finished second.

What does a 10, 30 or 60-second Seedance 2.5 video cost?

At 1080p, 10 seconds costs about $5.69, 30 seconds $17.06 and 60 seconds $34.12 on BytePlus, for one take of every second. Sixty seconds takes two requests, because Seedance 2.5 generates 4 to 30 seconds at a time. The figures scale BytePlus's 5-second 16:9 examples, without video input; T1 is shown at Topview's topview.ai launch price for comparison.

What does a Seedance 2.5 project cost once you count retakes?

A 60-second video at 1080p with 3 takes per shot is 180 seconds of generation: about $102.35 on Seedance 2.5 through BytePlus. Retakes, more than the per-second rate, decide most budgets. Here is the same project through each cheaper route.

Route for a 60-second video at 1080p, 3 takes per shotWhat you generateCost

T1 for 45 seconds, Seedance 2.5 for a 15-second hero shot135 s on T1, 45 s on Seedance 2.5$55.29

All-T1 is 61% less than all-Seedance here, the most any route saves, but it is a ceiling: it assumes no shot needs Seedance 2.5. Topview's own headline is 62% lower cost, measured against the $0.585 it quotes. The mixed plan, keeping one 15-second hero shot on Seedance 2.5, saves 46%, and Draft mode saves 49% without leaving Seedance 2.5.

What are the cheaper ways to get Seedance 2.5-quality video?

Drop to 720p, draft at 480p, or move the easy shots to a cheaper model; of those models, Topview T1 is the one with same-prompt evidence.

  • 720p. At $0.231 a second, Seedance 2.5 at 720p is 59% cheaper than 1080p, and most social feeds are watched on phones.
  • Draft mode. Seedance 2.5 can render a 480p draft and then turn the draft you like into a 1080p final with the same prompt and settings. Only 480p drafts and 1080p finals are supported.
  • Seedance 2.0. BytePlus's 1080p example for Seedance 2.0 is $0.37 a second, but it generates at most 15 seconds per request against 2.5's 30.
  • Unlimited 720p plans. Topview's Ultra plan ($50 a month, billed annually) lists 30 days of unlimited Seedance 2.5 and Topview T1 at 720p, with a warning that unlimited wait times may be lengthy.
  • Topview T1. $0.22 a second at 1080p on topview.ai at its launch price. In Topview's credits the gap is smaller: T1 is 8.8 credits per 4 seconds at 1080p against 14.8 for Seedance 2.5, 41% fewer. Topview's developer API lists T1 at $0.1649 a second at 720p, 28.66% off Seedance's official price, which matches BytePlus's $0.231.

Is Topview T1 good enough to replace Seedance 2.5?

For dialogue, faces and slow scenes, it comes close in launch-week side-by-sides; for fast action, Seedance 2.5 stays crisper. The clips come from Topview's launch campaign, and several launch-week posts are marked as paid promotion, so base the decision on the clips, not the copy.

The dance clip shows both halves of the price question at once. A soloist in a red track jacket and tinted glasses performs in a silver tinsel set, and a girl group in crop tops and olive cargo pants dances against hot pink, white and lime backdrops. Close-ups of faces, makeup and glasses look alike on both sides, while the captions under each half carry Topview's comparison, $6.6 against $17.55 for 30 seconds. Across the launch comparisons, the full-body choreography is where Seedance 2.5 tends to stay crisper.

The full side-by-side comparison is in Topview T1 vs Seedance 2.5. Which side wins depends on the genre, so we also priced the routing per genre: AI short dramas, AI fight scenes and AI video ads. The free Topview T1 skill estimates each shot on both models before your coding agent renders it on T1.

To skip separate BytePlus and Topview accounts, AdAnt, an AI social media marketing team, offers both models in Studio's video picker, and its Creator switches a shot to T1 when asked. Each second of T1 costs 60% fewer AdAnt credits than a second of Seedance 2.5 at 1080p, and 54% fewer at 720p. AdAnt's T1 starts from a prompt or a start frame with an optional end frame; shots that need reference images stay on Seedance 2.5.
